June 15, 2012 > Newark hosts citywide garage sale Newark hosts citywide garage sale Submitted By Joe Camero Perhaps garage sale fever has struck the city or antiquing has surpassed baseball as a summer tradition, but Newark will host its largest ever, citywide garage sale Saturday, June 16. Now in its 10th year, the Annual Newark Garage Sale event has seen a dramatic increase in participation with 176 garage sale listings. "We had just over 30 signups last year," said Clay Colvin, Planning Manager, Community Development for Newark. "People are very excited to be part of this giant garage sale event."
