May 25, 2012 > Guilty plea by man charged with sexual battery Guilty plea by man charged with sexual battery Submitted By Fremont PD On May 18, 2012, Ronald Epps of San Leandro pled guilty to five counts of sexual battery and will serve eighteen (18) months in county jail as part of the plea. The five separate sexual battery incidents occurred between November 2010 - February 2012 inside bookstores in Fremont and Dublin. During the incidents, Epps (a registered sex offender due to prior sex crimes convictions) approached female shoppers from behind. While the victims were facing away from Epps he would inappropriately touch the victims. Video surveillance of Epps groping multiple unknown victims has been recovered. The Fremont Police Department and Dublin Police Department Investigative units are attempting to contact unidentified victims.
