November 25, 2011 > Union City Councilperson selected to top 100 Union City Councilperson selected to top 100 Submitted By Pat Kite Pat Gacoscos has received recognition from the Filipina Women's Network (FWN) Board of Directors and the FWN100 Selection Committee as one of 100 "Most Influential Filipina Women in the United States." According to a statement by the organization, the award is given "to individuals for their exceptional work in their fields of expertise and for their inspiring leadership and achievements in the American workplace and communities." Councilperson Gacoscos received her award in the Policymakers & Visionaries category at a Filipina Leadership Summit held from October 13-15 in San Francisco. The keynote speaker at this gathering was California Supreme Court Justice Tani Gorre Cantil-Sakauye.
