Stratford practices community outreach
Submitted By Chelsea Carroll
On Friday, November 11, Stratford's Fremont Student Council members delivered beautifully decorated Thanksgiving placemats to Abode Services. Stratford provides an extended care program after regular school hours. Abode offers housing programs linked to support services for low-income or homeless families and individuals in Alameda County.
To kick off this season of giving, Stratford Schools Fremont decided to create and decorate colorful and special placemats for Abode for Thanksgiving dinner. All grade levels worked on this heart-felt project and older members of the student council, along with their parents, delivered them and received a special tour.
Abode Services drop-off center for donations is at The Sunrise Village Emergency Shelter, 588 Brown Rd in Fremont. |
