Public Hearings: Amend a Conditional Use Permit to install a liquid nitrogen tank at Matheson Tri-Gas Approve a six-month review of a Conditional Use Permit for Little Flowers Montessori School Consent: Second reading of an ordinance prohibiting medical marijuana dispensaries in Newark Amend a Joint Powers Agreement with Associated Community Action Program Council Matters: Councilmember Alberto Huezo spoke of his service on the council and expressed gratitude for support and civility of Newark, citizens, staff and fellow councilmembers. He noted that he will continue to reside in Newark and is proud to be an American by choice, having entered the United States as an immigrant in 1960. Mayor Smith remarked that Mr. Huezo is a true "American success story." The next scheduled council meeting on December 8, 2011 will mark the final appearance of both Mayor David Smith and Councilperson Alberto Huezo on Newark City Council.
