Amusing Art Critique

Submitted By Sachie Johns

Entering your artwork in an upcoming show? Need help evaluating your work? The Fremont Art Association (FAA) is featuring accomplished artist and teacher Jan Schafir as its guest artist for September. Schafir will help evaluate artwork and provide guidance on how to critique works of art in a positive and fun way.

Schafir is a long-time member of FAA and past president. Owner of an art studio in Fremont, she teaches weekly classes in watercolor and mixed media, and holds workshops in drawing and gouache. Schafir has extensive experience in oil painting, colored pencil, collage, and other mixed media, and has taught many students how to critique effectively over the years. This artist has taught at the La Romita School of Art, a workshop in France, and held classes on cruise ships for the past five years.

Bring any medium of work - three or more. They do not have to be completed or framed, but matted work presents better, especially watercolors and photography. Jan looks forward to meeting other artists and enjoying a delightful evening of art camaraderie.
