Treeview Dolphins victorious once again

Submitted By Tammy Ortega

It's beginning to feel more like summer after this past weekend as parents packed away their jackets and hats and replaced them with shorts and tank tops. On Saturday June 18, the Treeview Dolphins hosted the Southgate Penguins for their first home meet of the East Bay Swim League season. Both teams exhibited tremendous sportsmanship cheering each other on and waiting patiently until each group of swimmers finished their races before exiting the pool.

Practice has been getting tougher for both teams and the Dolphins responded with a well earned victory over the Southgate Penguins for a final score of 581-435. Team spirit was in full effect and many personal times were once again beet. This week's swimmers of the meet for 11-and-under was Kiersten Jelonek; for the 10-and-under Dante Tanjuatco and Rebekah Stockinger. Great job to all of these swimmers.

Following Saturday's meet the Dolphins had their much anticipated annual overnight camping trip. The kids enjoyed playing, having dinner together, roasting marshmallows, making S'mores and waking up to a wonderful breakfast to get their Sunday Father's Day started.

Next week the Treeview Dolphins will host the second-place EBSL championship winners, the Drowning Darryls. They will be dressed in their favorite sports team attire and look forward to another great meet filled with exciting events and team spirit.
