June 10, 2011 > Newark Police Activity Log Newark Police Activity Log Submitted By Commander Bob Douglas, Newark PD June 5, 2011 At 9:13 p.m. officers responded to a report of a purse snatch robbery that occurred approximately 10 to 15 minutes before the call. The female victim reported she had been walking in the Chandini parking lot, on Mowry School Road with her purse slung over her shoulder when the suspect came from behind, stole the purse and ran away. The suspect was described as a male approximately 5'6" to 5'8" tall, but further description was unclear.
