Residential burglary
Police have arrested three men suspected of burglarizing a house on the 6100 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue. On Friday, April 8 at about 2:25 p.m. the suspects kicked in the front door of the residence. Officers witnessed two males and one female running from the scene. A perimeter was set up and eventually all three suspects were located and arrested. One of the suspects is 22-year-old Fremont resident Calvin L. Lincoln. The names of the other two suspects have been withheld since they are juveniles. Both are from Newark.
Further investigation revealed another unreported residential burglary near the original location. Police were able to locate and recover the stolen property from both residences. All three suspects are being charged pending arrangement with burglary and for fleeing from Police.

Vehicle stop leads to drugs and handgun
On Friday April 8, Officer Warren initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle leaving the Newark Pavilion. 18-year-old Dionte Valentine of Hayward was arrested for possession of marijuana and a stolen 40 cal. Smith and Wesson handgun. |
