Co-op preschool open house

Submitted By Grace Drinkwater

Families interested in the unique and rewarding experience a cooperative preschool has to offer are invited to attend Fremont Parents' Nursery School's (FPNS) open house event on Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Founded in 1961 and celebrating its 50th year of continuous operation this year, FPNS is the only parent-run, parent participation, cooperative preschool in Fremont. It is a non-partisan, non-profit, and non-sectarian organization, and was recently voted "Bay Area Parent Family Favorite 2010."

The open house, to be held at the FPNS campus at 4200 Alder Street in Fremont, will be much like a typical school day with projects, circle time, and snack. The open house format affords the opportunity for both children and parents to get a feel for the school while enjoying a fun activity together. Children who will be between two and four years old by September 1, 2011 are welcome to attend with their parents. FPNS requests that all interested families reserve their place by calling the school at (510) 793-8531 as space is limited. The open house will be run by one of FPNS' professional teachers, and current members will be available for questions about FPNS and its programs.

FPNS is currently enrolling students for summer and fall of 2011. For more information about FPNS visit http://www.fpns.org or call (510) 793-8531.
