Daryl Sequeira, Milpitas PD Photos By Courtesy of Milpitas PD Three suspects attempted to steal two 18 packs of beer each from the Safeway Store located on East Calaveras Boulevard. The incident happened on Saturday, March 12 at about 1:23 a.m. When Police arrived, they witnessed the suspects fighting with store employees. The suspects attempted to flee on foot but were taken into custody. No injuries were reported. According to police, all three suspects were identified in a similar theft at the same location earlier in March, when six cases of beer were stolen. They have been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault and burglary charges.
