Robbery

Submitted By Detective Bill Veteran, Fremont PD

A robbery occurred on Friday, January 28 near the Coronado apartments. The victim was robbed at gunpoint by two Black male adults described as in their mid-twenties, wearing "heavy jackets covering their heads." One suspect was armed with a black semi-automatic pistol. They searched the victim's backpack and stole his tennis racket.

Another robbery was reported on the same day when two male victims were allegedly robbed by four suspects in a red van with a white pinstripe. Weapons used by them include a BB gun and a baseball bat. An hour after the robbery, while Officer Shannon was still with the victims, the latter pointed out the van as it drove by. Officers Shannon and Gourley apprehended the vehicle in the suspect's own driveway a few blocks away. A 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, identified as the primary suspects, were arrested along with the 17-year-old driver. The fourth suspect, however, was not present.
