Man stabbed in attempted robbery

A man was stabbed by multiple suspects attempting to rob him in Union City. He suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper torso, police said. The incident happened on Wednesday, December 8, at 11:37 p.m. at 3277 Santa Rosa Court when the victim and his friend were working on a vehicle in front of the residence. According to Lt. The second victim fled into the home, retrieved a shotgun and came back outside to assist his friend who was now on the ground suffering from stab wounds. He told Police that he fired a shotgun at the suspects who were attempting to commit the robbery. The suspects fled when the shotgun was fired in their direction. "It is unknown if any of the suspects were hit by the shotgun blasts," said Lt. Musgrove. The stabbing victim was transported to local area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.
