Local high school girls soccer teams wrapped up their preseason play last week (Monday, Dec. 6, through Saturday, Dec. 11) and began to gain confidence in their abilities as a team as the regular season approaches.

Mission San Jose High's Lady Warriors met the Dougherty Valley High Lady Wildcats on Dec. 6 as well, and fell 3-1, despite scoring a quick goal in the first half.
A day later, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, girls soccer action continued with Amador Valley High tying James Logan High's Lady Colts, 1-1, holding each other scoreless after the half. Tennyson continued to allow goals at an alarming rate on Friday, Dec. 10, giving up five the home side, San Lorenzo High. However, the Lady Lancers got its offense in gear, putting three in the back of the net in a 5-3 loss, showing signs of life.
