Toys For Tots

At the request of the Marine Corps, for 17 years, LOV's volunteers have distributed collection barrels, picked up and sorted toys and bagged them for non profit service agency's children in Fremont, Newark and Union City. The need is for 10,170 toys for children from newborn to teens.

LOV has put out a total of 110 collection barrels throughout the Tri-Cities. In Union City you can bring a new unwrapped to any fire station, as well as Texas Roadhouse and Cesar Chavez Middle School. There are 15 locations in Newark and 37 locations in Fremont. To find a location near you, call LOV at 510-793-5683 and ask for Harold.

You can also bring in your toys to the LOV Community Service Center at 36120 Ruschin Dr., Newark in the former Ruschin School.

If you want to enjoy some holiday music and also have an opportunity to thank the Marines for their service to our country - plan to attend the annual Toys For Tots Holiday Pops Concert on Sunday, December 12th. The Newark Symphonic Winds will be performing all your favorite songs. Admission is a new unwrapped toy. The concert begins at 2 pm at the MacGregor School Auditorium, 35753 Cedar Blvd. in Newark. Doors open at 1 pm. For information call LOV at 510-793-5683.
