Taming of the Shrew-1920' style
James Logan drama presents William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew," in its inaugural production at the new Performing Arts center. This hilarious comedy, set in the 1920s in the Chicago area, will appeal to people of all ages with its flappers and "monsters."
In addition to colorful costumes, the show features jazz music of the period and the energetic "Charleston" dance. Katherine (the shrew) will be portrayed by senior Jaiden Caballero during the first week and sophomore Courtney Henderson in the second. The role of Petruchio will be played by junior Jacob (Jake) McKee, and Bianca will be played by junior Alexandra Ortiz. Senior Devin Edwards will handle the role of Lucentio; senior Kenneth Shoffner will play Tranio; freshman Omar Ortega is Hortensio; senior Tom Hu has the role of Gremio, and senior Ashraf Dahud has dual roles of the Lord and Baptista Minola. There are over 30 cast and crewmembers involved in this entertaining production.
