Workshop on Draft General Plan
Submitted By Dan Schoenholz, City of Fremont
Are you interested in how the City of Fremont will develop between now and 2030? If so, you'll want to take a look at the City's draft General Plan and attend one of the community workshops that will describe the main themes of the document.
The first workshop is scheduled for Saturday morning, November 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 3300 Capitol Avenue. Light refreshments will be provided so, if you plan to attend, please RSVP to Christina Sweeney at (510) 494-4711 or csweeney@fremont.gov.
A second workshop is scheduled for Wednesday evening, January 26 at the Centerville Community Center gymnasium. These workshops are a great opportunity to learn about the vision laid out by the Plan and to provide your input to City staff.
The draft General Plan and the accompanying "Vision Book" (a user-friendly summary of the main themes of the Plan) will be available on-line beginning November 3 for public review and comment at www.fremont.gov/index.aspx?nid=1188.
If you have questions regarding the General Plan project, contact Dan Schoenholz, General Plan Update Project Manager, at (510) 494-4438 or dschoenholz@fremont.gov.
