Experience an unusual Halloween
Submitted By Wendy Winsted, Sulphur Creek Coordinator
Join in the fun at Sulphur Creek Nature Center and travel through the looking glass into the exciting world of Wonderland! Find out the real truth about Halloween's dark and creepy creatures from Alice and her friends. Play croquet with the Queen of Hearts and her live gopher ball. Join the Mad Hatter for tea and meet his friend the rat. Discover how the Cheshire Cat and owl became friends and why the White Queen enjoys the company of a tarantula.
Enjoy the rest of the evening with Halloween crafts, story-telling and a campfire at no charge; along with games, tasty treats, face painting, and a night hike for a small fee.
Spend a fun, family evening together and have a ghoulishly good time. The event also helps demystify myths about animals associated with Halloween and will benefit the Sulphur Creek Nature Center which takes in injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife.
