Learn to meditate
By Meenu Gupta
When practiced regularly with sincerity, meditation provides inner joy and peace of mind. It is an attempt to discover the inner self by detaching from the usual workings of the intellectual mind. To learn meditation, one needs to learn the art of concentration by delving deep within and keeping the mind quiet and relaxed.
Milpitas Library is offering a free meditation class this Saturday, October 16. Dr. Marshall Zaslove, board certified psychiatrist, author, researcher, and seminar leader, will focus on the latest discoveries that offer a key to self-empowerment. "Dr. Zaslove will demonstrate for all participants a direct method for accessing this inborn technology to improve every aspect of one's daily life - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual," says Supervising Librarian, Adult and Teen Services, Melanie McInerney. Join the event to discover ways to quiet the mind and control negative emotions.
