A parolee was arrested after a short foot chase. It all started when Milpitas Police Officer Alex Prince located a stolen black 2001 Kia Spectra sedan parked at the Extended Stay Hotel, 1000 Hillview Court last week. The San Jose Police Department stolen vehicle report revealed Travis Alcisto as the possible suspect. Alcisto was also found to be a parolee-at-large. Officer Prince saw Alcisto walk into a room on the third floor of the hotel and followed. The suspect jumped out of the third floor window and ran through the parking lot. A short foot pursuit ensued, with Alcisto being taken into custody.
Alcisto was found in possession of a loaded 9mm pistol magazine, 40 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and other evidence of controlled substances sales. According to Officer Gene Smith, Milpitas PD, the suspect also had credit cards and checks that did not belong to him. This investigation is on-going to determine whether the credit cards and checks were stolen.
Alcisto has been arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance for sale, unlawful possession of ammunition, resisting arrest, and a parole violation warrant.
