Presentations and Proclamations: Newark resident, Alissa Haber, was voted the United States Olympic Committee Female Athlete of the Month for June 2010 based on her record breaking play at the 2010 International Softball Federation Women's World Championship. Ms. Haber accepted the commendation.
Proclaiming September as National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month in Newark. John Balentine accepted the proclamation.
Public Hearings: Approval of condition use permit to establish a wireless telecommunications facility (Clearwire) at 39900 Balentine Drive(Hilton Newark/Fremont Hotel)
Consent: Acceptance of work with West Coast Arborist, Inc., for Tree Maintenance Services
Confirmation of the use of Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian Local Pass-Through funds for the repair and replacement of sidewalk, curb, and gutter as adopted as part of the 2010-2012 Capital Improvement Plan.
Acceptance of work with Spencon Construction, Inc.for 2010 Citywide Wheelchair Accessible Ramps.
