Whether a beginner or more experienced gardener, the Aesthetic Pruning workshop is an opportunity to sharpen your pruning skills. This workshop will show garden enthusiasts how to properly prune unruly trees - from new tree training to mature tree maintenance.
Friends of the Milpitas Public Library and the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the California Native Plant Society will present a free workshop on Aesthetic Pruning on Thursday evening, October 7 in Milpitas library auditorium.
Presenter Jocelyn Cohen has extensive experience with land restoration, tree care, aesthetic pruning, organic gardening, and soil rebuilding. "I focus on pruning trees and shrubs to bring out the natural habit of the plant, plant health and longevity," said Cohen. "My garden designs incorporate probable ecosystems and emphasize low impact on the landscape including re-use of existing materials," she said. Cohen teaches workshops at the East Bay Regional Parks Botanic Garden and is a Certified Arborist for her own business, Poetree Landscapes & Aboriculture.
