Community Workshop - South Fremont/Warm Springs studies

Submitted By Brian Millar

The City of Fremont is pleased to announce that a Community Workshop on the South Fremont/Warm Springs Area Studies will be held on Monday, October 4, 2010, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Warm Springs Community Center, located at 47300 Fernald Street, Fremont. The City seeks community input on ways to develop the areas surrounding the future Warm Springs BART Station on Warm Springs Boulevard, as well as the former NUMMI facility.

Funded by a federal grant, the City is preparing studies related to an Economic and Market Analysis to identify the best short- and long-term markets for the site; Land Use Alternatives; an Infrastructure and Cost Analysis; and a Financial Assessment that will examine the financial feasibility of the land use options being considered.

Your input and thoughts about the future of this very important area of our City are welcomed and encouraged. Preregistration for workshop attendance is encouraged, though not required, at www.fremont.gov/SouthFremontReg. For more information, contact Brian Millar, Project Manager, at (510) 284-4008 or by email at bmillar@fremont.gov. Information about the South Fremont/Warm Springs Area Studies and related documents are available through the City's website (www.fremont.gov).
