September 21, 2010 > Officer Todd Young recovering Officer Todd Young recovering Submitted By Detective Bill Veteran Todd Young, a Fremont police officer shot while attempting to serve an arrest warrant on a gang member, continues to recover; he is slowly emerging from a chemically-induced coma. Young and his partner Officer Eric Tang were fired on by the suspect last month. Officer Young was hit twice in the pelvic region. Currently Officer Todd Young remains in Intensive Care at Highland Hospital Trauma Center with no further operations scheduled. Doctors are optimistic that he will fully recover.
