September 17, 2010 > Sketchbook Journaling Sketchbook Journaling Submitted By Diane Leys Award winning Fremont artist and teacher, Grace Rankin, will present a program titled "Sketchbook Journaling at Home or on the Road," on Wednesday, September 22, at the Olive Hyde Art Center. Ms. Rankin will share her watercolor and sketchbook expertise during this presentation. Participants should bring a sketchbook, permanent black ink pen, watercolors or watercolor pencils, a brush and a photo of the Mission. Please call (510)-651-4441 to RSVP, as attendance is limited to 20 participants. In addition to local classes, Ms Rankin conducted a sketchbook/ watercolor tour in Scotland. In 2002, she taught at La Romita School of Art in Umbria, Italy. Under the auspices of San Francisco Art Seminars Ms. Rankin led a group to Southwest France in 2008. Currently her painting "Ribbons of Hope," is on tour in the Ely Lilly Biennial Oncology show. Her many private collectors include Mr. and Mrs. Clint Eastwood.
