Letter to the editor: Please make Royal Ann Drive safer
Friends and neighbors on Royal Ann Drive, Union City, have fought to slow and reduce traffic on the residential street for years. We are fighting again, requesting City Council's approval of the addition of speed bumps or speed tables to help slow fast-traveling vehicles and curb through traffic.
City Council has directed Staff to study the issue and submit their findings at October's City Council meeting. We hope and request that any interested persons attend this meeting to voice their concerns and support the issue of implementing substantial safety measures to slow the many speeding vehicles and reduce through traffic. We need to turn out in force so that City Council knows we are seriously concerned for the peace and safety of our neighborhood.
