Child Safety Day held in Fremont Commons last weekend taught kids about safety while they had fun. Free child identification kits were provided. Police Officers shared ideas and tips about safety with the kids as the children were entertained with animal balloons, raffles, face painting and other activities. "We received approximately 300 people and issued 146 identification cards. The first 50 kids received a backpack with school supplies, and we face painted more than 200 people," said Claudia Duarte, Store Manager, Check Center.
"We want to thank Little Caesar's Pizza for their generous donation of toys and activities for the kids; Body Klynique helping out preparing our event and Dr Ali Keshmiri Dental Office for their donations," said Duarte. Businesses that supported the event include Univision Radio, Block Buster, Quiznos, Dry Cleaners, Photo Perfect Studio, Pro Vision Optometry, Caritas Pintadas, Alan the Amazing Magician, Dragon BBQ Express.
"We thank City of Fremont for sending [its mascot] Reggie and the Fremont Police Department for providing safety supplies. Venkata Vemireddy, Landlord at Fremont Commons assisted us by letting us have this event at Fremont Commons. Shopping Center, and Karen Kitchen donated homemade cookies for kids," said Trina Lucero, Store Manager, Check Center. "Our Company is preparing 146 ID's to be ready next week so parents can keep updated information about their children in their wallet," said Duarte. "We also help with scholarships donated to nearby high schools during graduation events, celebrations during holidays and Walk-a-thons," she said.
