Brawl at Newark Square
On Friday, July 16 a group of Sureno gang members at PN Hair & Nails Salon and another group of Norteno gang members next door at Jackie's Barber Shop, engaged in a fight. One of the Norteno's began slashing the tires of a blue Acura Integra parked in front of the business. The vehicle belonged to an uninvolved party who became a victim of felony vandalism. The rear tire of a blue Dodge Neon that was parked next to the Acura was also punctured. Officers were unable to locate the owner of the Dodge found to be associated with the Sureno gang.

On Sunday, July 18 suspect(s) broke into a business at Ramirez Market through the glass door. Cash registers were knocked off the counter but the loss is unknown at this time. The case is under investigation.
