Possession of ammunition and drugs
On Friday, July 9 an Officer spotted an illegally parked vehicle obstructing traffic in the area of 8th Street near G Street. Two of the three occupants fled from the vehicle over a neighboring fence when the officer illuminated the vehicle with his spotlight. The driver of the vehicle remained in the vehicle and was contacted by the officer. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia, shotgun shells and a stolen sawed off shotgun. The driver was arrested without incident and transported to jail.

On Wednesday, July 14, Officers questioned five persons acting suspiciously in the area of Mission Boulevard and F Street. During contact with the subjects, officers located hidden syringes and Heroin. All five were arrested for possession of the controlled substances.

Officers responded to a stabbing in the area of 11th Street and G Street. The victim was awakened by a knock on the door. The suspect asked for the victim's brother, and when he was told the brother was not home, the suspect stabbed the victim in the lower abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim could provide very little detail of the suspect's description.

Counterfeit Check
On Saturday night, July 10, Officers were sent to WalMart to investigate a suspicious person attempting to pass a counterfeit check. When the suspect saw the approaching officers he attempted to flee, but was captured and arrested after a short foot pursuit.

Assault with a deadly weapon
On Sunday, July 11, officers responded to a residence on Engine House Drive to investigate a domestic disturbance that escalated when the adult grandson pushed his grandmother to the ground and attempted to strike her with a metal baton. A family member intervened and the suspect fled the residence in his vehicle as officers were arriving. The arriving officers spotted the suspect leaving, stopped him made an arrest for assault with a deadly weapon and cruelty to a dependent adult. The victim was unharmed.

On Tuesday July 13, an adult male victim was trying to purchase drugs in the area of Decoto Road and Perry Road when he was robbed of his diamond necklace by the person he was trying to purchase the drugs from. The property was soon recovered and the suspect was arrested.
