The 2010 USA Junior National Badminton Tournament is a six day tournament running from Wednesday, June 30, through Tuesday, July 6. It consists of 320 players. Out of the 320 players, Zhou Badminton Training Center (ZBTC) of Union City brought 36 players, all of whom played badminton between one and two years.
The students enjoy playing badminton and find it fun to learn from Coach Zhou, a teacher who came to America from China five years ago. She gets along with the children well, and provides good guidance and proper training. Coach Zhou's guidance led her pupils to 44 medals at the tournament.
ZBTC won 12 first-place medals, which was its highest total of all medals earned; second-place medals were next, with eight, tied with fifth place; ZBTC won five, third- and fourth-place medals; four, eighth-place medals; and rounded it out with one medal in both sixth and seventh place.
Recently, Coach Zhou signed a contract with Li-Ning. Below are the details of the 2010 Li-Ning California International Junior Badminton Championship.
Sponsored by Li-Ning, the 2010 Li-Ning California International Junior Badminton Championship will be hosted by Zhou Badminton Training Center from Saturday, August 14 to Tuesday, August 17. The 2010 Li-Ning California International Badminton Junior Championship is open to all USA domestic and international badminton junior players.
