Police arrest home burglary suspect

On Saturday, July 3 at approximately 8:06 a.m. a residential burglary was reported in the 400 Block of Willow Avenue. The owners of the residence returned to their home and noticed several items had been moved and the property was missing. Police officers canvassed the neighborhood and located a witness who gave a described the vehicle as an Isuzu SUV, Gray in color and a spare tire with "Anderson" printed on the cover. The suspect vehicle was seen in the area during the time of the burglary.
An officer located a matching vehicle parked in the neighborhood and upon further inspection noticed property in the car which matched the stolen property from the residence. The owner of the car, Lopez, was contacted by officers. When officers attempted to take her into custody for the burglary she resisted arrest. Lopez was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Several pieces of property taken in the burglary were located and returned to the victim. Lopez was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for burglary, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.
