Letter to the editor: Reinstate Gaye Morando at the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce

In conversations we have had with fellow members of the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce, we take this opportunity to express our opinion on the unjustified, callous and uncivilized termination of Gaye Morando from the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce.

As a 25-year member, we do not recall seeing or hearing of a similar event taking place such as happened to Gaye. As a company, we are livid, angered and dismayed by this situation and call upon our fellow Chamber members to unite and demand, with one voice, the immediate resignation and removal of the culprits and the reinstatement of Gaye Morando as Executive Director.

Furthermore, it is now clear the Chamber's by-laws, procedures, rules and regulations need to be reviewed and strengthened so that this situation never recurs.

Gaye Morando has been the heart and soul of the Milpitas Chamber. She has deftly guided it through many difficult times and the present economic business climate is no exception. She has always been up to the task and, through her network of professional associates, friends and colleagues, has proven herself worthy beyond reasonable doubt. She deserves our support.

Very truly yours,

Ed Blake
