After outscoring both the Centerville National and Niles-Centerville little league teams by a combined 29-11 to reach the District 14 Tournament of Champions final, Warm Springs Little League captured their first ever Majors TOC championship on Saturday, June 26, in a low-scoring (for Warm Springs' standards) 6-4 victory over Centerville American Little League.
Managed by Frank Durand, Warm Springs defeated Centerville National 11-0 on Monday, June 22, in the quarterfinals and beat Niles-Centerville in an 17-11 shootout on Thursday to get into Saturday's championship game.
On the other end, Centerville American edged past Newark American, 3-0, on Monday, June 21, and defeated Mission San Jose, 7-1, on Thursday, June 24, to get into Saturday's championship game.
Centerville American opened the scoring early in the game and held the lead early until Warm Springs took the lead in the third inning.
