AlmaVia hosts seminar for those on the move

Submitted By Suhailah White and Carlos Esteban

Are you getting ready to move? Learn how to prepare for moving-day by attending a free seminar on Saturday, June 26 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. hosted by AlmaVia of Union City, 33883 Alvarado-Niles Road.

The seminar will be led by Stacy Busch and Susan Runsvold of Tailored Transitions, a company specializing in relocating seniors, from preparing the house for sale to arranging for movers and setting up the new home.

Attendees will learn about the various aspects of the moving process including an overview of how to prepare when selling a home, current market conditions, when to put a home on the market, how to price a home and inexpensive ways to show it at its best.

In addition, topics include the emotional components of downsizing and moving, the benefits of moving into a retirement community and when and how to seek help in this process. The seminar will also cover how to manage a move - from developing a personalized plan for moving to arranging for needed services to the actual moving day and finally settling into the new home.

"Making a transition to a new home is stressful and especially for a senior who might not have moved in 30-50 years," says Stacy Busch of Tailored Transitions. "Our job is to take the stress and worry out of the moving process and we look forward to a wonderful exchange of information at the upcoming seminar."

Reservations are required and can be made by calling (510) 489-3800.
