Shooting in Union City

On Monday, May 24 at 8:55 p.m. Union City police officers responded to the 34000 block of Perry Road on a report of a shooting. Officers located a 22 year old victim who had suffered at least one gunshot wound. The victim, an Antioch resident, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Wounds were not life threatening and he was later released. The victim said he had been sitting in a car with another male, when the suspect approached them and began shooting into car. The male suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. There is no known motive at this time.
