Summer reading program for grown-ups
By Meenu Gupta
Milpitas Library celebrates summertime with the adult summer reading program presented June through August. Grown-ups, grab your library card and head to the library for a guaranteed breezy summer experience. Adult Summer Reading participants will read books of their choice and receive prizes.
"This year we are adding a library bingo game," said Melanie McInerney, Milpitas Public Library, Supervising Librarian, Adult & Teen Services. "After signing up, the participants may come to the second floor information desk to pick up a bingo sheet and a library book bag while supplies last."
Participants who complete one bingo will receive a free gift and will be eligible for random drawings.
"Turn in two review cards by Monday, August 30 to receive a $10 coupon for the Friends of the Library fall book sale and to be eligible for random drawings," said McInerney. "Also we will be doing monthly drawings for prizes such as audio books, Starbucks gift cards and books that have been signed by the authors."
Those interested may sign-up in person at the Milpitas Library or online at www.santaclaracountylib.org, beginning June 1 through August 7. For more information call (408) 262-1171 ext 3616.
