Daryl Sequeira Milpitas Police Department Officers took Steven John Lara, a 45 year-old Milpitas resident into custody for failing to register as a sex offender, resisting arrest, and for an outstanding felony parole violation warrant. Officers located Lara late last month hiding in the shrubbery at a transient encampment along the 660 block of Sinclair Frontage Road. When Lara saw the officers, he attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody. The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County jail.
