Golden State Road Warriors going to Irvington

Nationally-known wheelchair basketball team the Golden State Road Warriors will be visiting Irvington High School on Saturday May 15 at 6 p.m. The Golden State Road Warriors are sponsored by the NBA Golden State Warriors. Members of this award-winning wheelchair team will be providing a demo to students of Irvington High School.
Some of the team members who will be participating include coach Paul Jackson. Jackson was recently inducted into the National Wheelchair Basketball Hall of Fame. Jackson is also the assistant coach for the U.S. Paralympics team.
Fremont resident Chuck Gill, who has played throughout the world and a parolympian, will also be on hand with a few other members of the Golden State Road Warriors. Members of the team visit schools throughout the Bay Area providing demonstrations, fundraising events and halftimes at NBA Warrior games at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Gill recently played in Dallas, Texas, at this year's NBA All Star Weekend Wheelchair Game.
Members of the Golden State Road Warriors are excited about their visit to Irvington High School. Administrators, staff, district officials, teachers, coaches, student athletes, PTA members, security and local businesses will have a chance to play a scrimmage game against the Golden State Road Warriors.
Tickets are available for this unique fundraising event that will benefit the athletic programs at Irvington High School, as well as the Golden State Road Warriors wheelchair basketball team.
Tickets are $20 for general admission; $10 for students, children under 12 and seniors; and $50 for a family package of tickets for two adults and three children.
This unique fund raising event will also have a number of door prizes being given away courtesy of the Irvington Business Association, as well as a silent auction. Don't miss your chance to help support high school athletics at Irvington High School.
