Saturday, April 17
Officers responded to a residence on Sonora Way on a report of a domestic disturbance. In this case, a female victim accused her boyfriend of threatening her with a gun and punching her in the face. Officers arrived and surrounded the residence. The male suspect refused to exit initially, but eventually complied and exited. The suspect was arrested and a search of the residence for the gun was conducted. The gun was not located. The suspect went to jail.

Sunday, April 18
Officers investigated a robbery that occurred at the convenience market located on Smith Street. In this case, eight suspects entered and walked through the store. The suspects created a distraction for the single employee and attempted to steal cash from the register. The clerk saw one of the suspects removing cash from the register and attempted to prevent him from doing so. When the victim grabbed the suspect removing cash from the register, another suspect knocked him to the ground by punching him on his face twice with closed fists. While on the ground, the victim was kicked about his face causing traumatic injury. All eight suspects fled the store together and left the victim lying injured on the floor. This case is under investigation.

Wednesday, April 21
Officers from the COPPS Unit began a search for a Union City resident wanted for a homicide out of Sacramento. They observed the suspect near Contempo Park and attempted to detain him. The suspect fled on foot and a chase ensued. Minutes later he was captured by officers and taken into custody. Sacramento Police arrived and took custody of the suspect.
