More Parenting with Purpose
By Alyson Whitaker
The free monthly Parenting with Purpose workshops offered at the Fremont Library have been extended to run through October.
As organizers have noted the positive response from participants, a decision was made to expand the workshops, offering local families additional resources in helping them parent their young children. The lectures are conducted by a team of experts in speech and language, occupational therapy, and early childhood education.
Dates and topics for the continued workshops are as follows:
May 26 "Different Types of Smart: What type is your child?" June 23 "Connections between movement, attention, and learning" July 28 "Toys, Toys Everywhere! How to find inexpensive educational toys" August 25 "Fussy Eaters" September 22 "Early Literacy" October 27 "Raising your child bilingually"
All workshops will take place from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Fremont Main Library, Fukaya Meeting Room A. Classes are free of charge, and childcare is provided.
