April 21, 2010 > Step out for senior centers Step out for senior centers Submitted By Larry Orozco The City of Union City, Leisure Services department, Senior Program will sponsor the "Twelfth Annual Step Out Walk & Health Faire" on Saturday, May 8. Step Out begins with registration at 8:30 a.m., exercising/warm-ups at 9:00 a.m. followed by a 1.5 mile fitness walk. The walk starts at the Ruggieri Senior Center continuing along Alvarado-Niles Road and the Alameda Creek trail, concluding back at the Senior Center. Indoor activities will include demonstrations and local business/community organization informational booths to acquaint seniors and family members with an array of services available in the community. Walk T-shirts are distributed to each participant.
