April 7, 2010 > Union City Police Department Report Union City Police Department Report Courtesy City of Union City Thursday, March 25 Officers investigated a robbery that occurred on Central Avenue near the Church of Union City. In this case, the victim stated that he was walking on Central Avenue when he was approached by two Asian males. The suspects demanded his property and his money. The victim told the suspects that he did not have anything on him. One of the suspects hit the victim on the head with a rock. The victim was then stabbed in the upper thigh. The suspects fled on foot towards Whipple Road. Friday, March 26 Officers investigated a robbery that occurred in front of the Skylark Apartments. In this case, two victims were in front of their apartment when two Hispanic male suspects approached them and brandished a handgun. They demanded the victim's money and property. The suspects then fled in a dark colored vehicle. Saturday, March 27 Officers investigated an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred at the City Corporation Yard. In this case, a male suspect arrived at the yard with a baseball bat and assaulted a person at the yard. Apparently, the suspect was angry with the victim over a failed relationship with the suspect's relative. The suspect was later arrested on Mission Blvd. as he attempted to leave the area.
