March 31, 2010 > Child molest suspect arrested Child molest suspect arrested Submitted By Officer Gene Smith, Milpitas PD Photos By courtesy of Milpitas Police Department On Saturday, March 20 at about 6:22 p.m., a five year-old male victim was shopping at Wal-Mart located at 301 Ranch Dr. in Milpitas with his mother. The victim was playing the X-Box gaming console when a male suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Sunnyvale resident, Christian Edward Archibald, approached the victim and stood directly behind him. Archibald rubbed the victim's buttocks with his hand. The victim's mother saw Archibald inappropriately touching her son and confronted him. Archibald ran from the scene and the victim's mother alerted Wal-Mart employees. Wal-Mart employees detained Archibald until Milpitas police officers arrived on scene. Officers took custody of Archibald, and he was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for molesting a child under 18 years of age. Officers are trying to locate any possible additional witnesses or victims.
