March 31, 2010 > Non-Injury Traffic Accident Non-Injury Traffic Accident Submitted By Sergeant Daryl Sequeira, Milpitas PD Photos By courtesy of Milpitas Police Department On Wednesday, March 17 at approximately 2:27 p.m., Milpitas Police Department officers responded to a non-injury traffic accident located on the 1800 block of McCarthy Boulevard, south of Dixon Landing Road. The driver of the vehicle, a 57 year-old San Jose resident, was distracted while operating his electric windows and failed to follow the curve in the roadway. He accidentally drove his vehicle over the sidewalk, down a ditch, and into a nearby creek. His vehicle travelled approximately 240 feet from the roadway. The vehicle, black 1992 Lexus LS400 sedan, sustained minor front-end damage, and several shrubs were damaged. Fortunately, the driver did not sustain any injuries.
