March 24, 2010 > Regional park police seek accreditation Regional park police seek accreditation Submitted By East Bay Regional Park District A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. will begin examining all aspects of the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) Police Department on April 10, 2010. All aspects including procedures, management, operations and support services will be scrutinized. This accreditation is a highly prized, international recognition of public safety professional excellence. As part of the process, department personnel and the public are invited to offer comments about the Department by calling (510) 690-6517 on Monday, April 12, 2010 between the hours of 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. A public information session in which comments will also be taken will be held in the EBRPD Trudeau Center at 11500 Skyline Blvd., Oakland on April 12, 2010 at 5 p.m. Written comments may be sent to: Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement, Inc. 10302 Eaton Place, Suite 100, Fairfax, Virginia 22030-2201. Public comment either by telephone or in person is limited to 10 minutes and must address the Department's ability to comply with Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement (CALEA) standards.
