March 24, 2010 > Chorus auditions Chorus auditions Fremont Opera announces chorus auditions for its summer production of Verdi's "La Traviata." Although most of the chorus positions will be volunteers, there will be a limited number of paid positions. Performance dates are August 27 and 29 when "La Traviata" will be presented with a brilliant cast and the full Fremont Symphony Orchestra. The opera is set in the glittering salons of 19th-century Paris, and the chorus has a major role in two big, elegant party scenes. Chorus members play party guests, entertainers, and gamblers.
