Accidental Shooting at Target Masters in Milpitas

On Wednesday, March 10 at approximately 7:43 p.m. Milpitas police officers responded to Target Masters located at 122 Minnis Circle, indoor shooting range on a report of a person being shot. The preliminary investigation revealed a 22 year-old female was shooting a gun for the first time, when an ejected bullet casing landed in her shirt. The first time shooter attempted to remove the hot casing from her clothing while holding the gun and it accidentally discharged.

The woman, a Fremont resident, was shot in the leg and transported to a local hospital for treatment. She is expected to survive and there were no other reported injuries.
