Monday, March 1
Officers investigated a robbery that occurred at Meteor Drive and Dyer Street. A 16-year-old male victim was walking down the street when two juvenile male suspects approached him. They struck the victim and demanded his money. The suspects then fled on foot with the victim's property.
Wednesday, March 3
Officers investigated a report of an assault involving a firearm and kidnapping on 3rd Street at Decoto Road. They responded to the area and were unable to locate the victim(s) or evidence suggesting a crime had occurred. Shortly thereafter, Hayward Police Department called the Union City Communications Center after locating the victim in their city.
Through the investigation, officers learned the victim was in Union City to sell seven ounces of marijuana. The deal did not go as planned and the victim was forced into the suspect's vehicle, where he was pistol whipped. During the assault, the suspects fired one round at the victim, however the round missed him. He had minor injuries as a result of being pistol whipped. Detectives are working this investigation with the assistance of Gang and Narcotic Task Forces. |
