McDonalds calls it quits... to rebuild
Submitted By Mark Bernardin
McDonald's Restaurant on Grimmer Boulevard in Fremont is about to close! Fortunately, for Big Mac lovers in the vicinity, this is a temporary change to allow a complete rebuilding and future reopening. To celebrate this change, a fundraising event will be held on the last day of business before the transformation.
On Thursday, March 4, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., prominent citizens, business owners and members of city government, will work behind the counter to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Bay Area. One hundred percent of the proceeds earned during these hours will be donated. A special silent auction is now in progress and will last until closing time on the 4th. Customers can bid on items such as carousel horses and pictures from the restaurant; all successful bids will also be donated.
Come in on Thursday and help us send off the old restaurant with a bang! Look for your friends behind the counter!
