On Saturday, February 20 at approximately 1:08 a.m., a Milpitas police officer responded to the 400(B) Falcato Drive, in Milpitas, to investigate the theft of a Toyota Camry. At approximately 3:58 a.m., the investigating officer saw a Toyota Camry traveling eastbound on Montague Expressway and he noticed it matched the description of the one stolen earlier on Falcato Drive. A computer check revealed it in fact was the same vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver, Michael Andrew Curcuruto, 19 year-old Milpitas resident for auto theft.
The same day, between 07:30 a.m. and 12:08 p.m., officers responded to four separate calls for service regarding vehicles that had been broken into at the following locations: 1900(B) Everglades Drive, 1600(B) Big Bend Drive and 1500(B) Crater Lake Avenue. Based upon the damage to the vehicles, officers concluded that someone tried to steal them. Officers found Curcuruto was responsible for all of the aforementioned incidents.
Caurcuruto is a Milpitas resident and is associated to residences in the 2100(B) Yosemite Drive and 100(B) Beaumere Way. Anyone with any information regarding any suspicious or criminal activity involving Curcuruto is encouraged to call the Milpitas Police Department. In addition, we would like to encourage citizens to call the police when any suspicious activity is seen or heard.
